Trusteeship
At the Annual General Meeting held November 20, 2021, Pride PEI’s membership was unable to elect a Board of Directors.
A motion was made as follows:
“That the Pride PEI board moves into a short-term trusteeship of three leadership positions with the major focus of the trustees being to organize a special general meeting to re-hold a full board election by the end of January.”
The trustees elected are Andy Glydon, Peter Savoie, and Rosie Shaw.
They are committed to moving the organization forward with a Special Members Meeting (SGM) to hold a new election in January 2022.
The trustees are working to ensure a smooth transition of power to the new Board. The transfer will include providing top priorities upon election, including a compilation of all submissions received from members during trusteeship.
If you would like to make a submission to the incoming Pride PEI Board, please use the new submission form.
To reach the trustees, please email trustees@pridepei.ca.

What is Trusteeship?
Trusteeship is a legal term referring to holding assets for the benefit of another group. The duties of a trustee are primarily “fiduciary”. A trustee is legally, ethically, and morally bound to manage the trust’s assets in a responsible and productive manner, and to act solely for the benefit of the trust’s beneficiaries.
